Verizon had been GURU as ISP for several years now. The have the cutting edge bandwidth to teet up most of the customer’s requirements. Verizon decided to respond to Cablevision’s new limited 101Mbps service, and, well, it’s a bit contradictory.

Essentially, Verizon argues that Cablevision is trying to pump all this bandwidth through their crappy cable infrastructure, and it won’t hold up, with bandwidth hogs lowering everybody else’s speeds. Furthermore, the true speeds will be slower once users have to deal with the speeds of the servers they’re trying to access. Oh, and also, nobody wants such .. Read Further »

To be honest, I’m not really into netbooks. I’m looking for an internet device that is more than just a really tiny laptop. This MID concept seems to be a step in the right direction.

It is important to emphasize that you should devote most of your efforts in growing your site audience alongside integrated implementation of any of the following tips below.

  1. Install the Alexa toolbar or Firefox’s SearchStatus extension and set your blog as your homepage. This is the most basic step.
  2. Put up an Alexa rank widget on your website. I did this a few days ago and receive a fair amount of clicks every day. According to some, each click counts as a visit even if the toolbar is not used by the visitor.

Microsoft made the first release candidate of Windows 7 available for free download on Thursday. In an unprecedented move for the company, the software will run on a user’s PC for more than a year.

Windows 7 RC1 can be downloaded now by MSDN, TechBeta and TechNet subscribers, and the general public will be able to download it on May 5. There is no limit to how many copies can be downloaded. The software will run until June 1, 2010, in what a Microsoft marketing manager described to ZDNet UK as a “try before you buy” scenario.

“There is no cap on the amount of downloads [of Windows 7 RC1],” Laurence Painell said in a prebriefing session on Wednesday. “However, we only recommend that people with a reasonable amount of IT .. Read Further »

This is Spinning Vinyl, an application that changes the speed of an MP3 song as you twist an iPod touch. It works like a turntable, changing the speed depending on the revolutions-per-minute.

However, it will only work right in the iPod touch. According to its Theo Watson—its creator—only the curvature of the iPod touch second generation allows it to work right. I wish it could also scratch the album, like a real vinyl. .. Read Further »
