Unless you are living under dark, you heard of Google Street view, the maps feature that jumps you into the streets of popular places throughout the world.

One techie wants to take this miles further by adding complete Virtual Bike Cruise feel to it. What he does is attaches magnetic sensors (based on arduino) on his BiCycle, which feeds data to a laptop connected to Google Street view. From there, Vuzix Headset (3d glasses) takes on control for your eyes. Vuzix headset has 3Dimensional accelerometer which lets your laptop calculate which direction you are facing w.r.t to the ground and hence interpolate images of that direction on the headset. Sounds fun, isn’t it?
