Xda developers had come up with an Android port for HTC HD2 just days ago, after it was made possible to create a custom  bootloader called HaRET which is capable of booting any Linux based OS.

HTC is pioneering Android devices. The train started long back and started gaining acceleration arounf the release of Nexus One.

HTC’s incredible (a.k.a Droid Incredible) is freakin great on specs and does almsot everything you would ask for from a smartphone. Just like nexus one, the phone is powered by 1ghz Snapdragon processor but has a lot more than N1.

android-iphone Yesterday’s Apple’s legal action against HTC patent infringement seems to have wider scope, reaching out to Google Android and possibly all android phones.

Apple claims that HTC has infringed 20 of its patents that it had acquired for iPhone.

Apple, as always, has not included Google in the suit, many of the named patents but in reality, most are related to operating system processes. Which brings a clear indication that Apple is targeting Android.

Almost every gadget manufacturer is making touchscreens larger but HTC took it to a new step. HD2 features a whooping large screen (4.3 inches WVGA 480×800 pixels), among the largest one would find on cellphones.
