iPhone is now a proven platform that has intense demand and supply when it comes to Applications. With over 110,000 applications available in the App Store, its still on the rise.

Nexus One may have entered the battle, android is going to take some time to catchup.

Probably, iPhone’s original Home Screen (Lock screen) is very boring and non-intuitive. There are couple of apps that make the experience much richer by giving you option to add SMS preview, Calendar events, Weather, etc, but none of them is as perfect as the one we are about to discuss now. Though IntelliScreen does a fairly good job, it’s a single screen widget.  The new app is called SmartScreen, developed by one of the iPhone DevTeam members, to be released under the brand MediaPhone.
