Windows 7’s popularity has raised its market share at a sky-high pace. Within 3 months of its official launch, it has crossed the Mac OS to capture 8% of the OS market.
A while back, we discussed that Windows 7 features a half-baked “SoftAP” feature, also called “virtual Wi-Fi,” that allows a PC to function as a Wi-Fi client and also as an Access Point Read further »

Windows 7 is, no doubt, a evolution in windows platform. But the bad side of it is seen as a “Higher memory Footprint” as compared to previous generation OS like Windows XP and even when compared to Linux like Ubuntu 9.1
Often, one would say Windows 7 has memory leaks, Windows Read further »
When I first migrated to Windows 7 in it’s early BETA days, I was all too excited by the new stability, UI, features and quoted Battery life improvement. But, all this came with a bad [practical] news: I saw serious reduction in battery life.
The battery backup reduced from 2.5hrs to merely 1hr. I believed this was due Read further »
The Evolution and Features that can mark Success for Windows 7 – Direct X 11 from dx10 and dx9
No doubt, Windows is the best platform for Gaming. Other platforms, due to lack of proper driver support and optimizations (Linux, Mac OS); never lived upto the competition. What we mean by Best platform is: If you have a good Graphics GPU and a great Processor, you can Read further »
If you are tired of watching the same look and feel of Windows [XP, 7 or Vista], or you envy Mac OS X Snow Leopard for X reasons, it’s try to change the UI and transform the Experience.
All of the transformation packs are straight forward and easy to install.

Apple must be already happy to see this coming. During the Keynote from Ballmer at CES 2010, HP’s Slate PC was demoed. Not much of a surprise, the Tablet is just average.
The HP device shown up at CES did not appear to be the dual-screen tablet that’s the subject of much rumor and speculation, under the code-name Courier. Neither the HP video above nor Ballmer, however, showed the device from the back. However, as Ballmer had trouble bringing up the second Seth Meyers video from the device’s Media Center connection (due more likely to power problems affecting the router than with the PC itself), he Read further »

This might have went unnoticed by most users but I am now sure that a Windows update to IE8 breaks Chrome’s speed.

The allegations never end, who copied who, this is something common in User interfaces/Look and feel. But here comes something interesting.
A Microsoft manager saying flat-out that Windows 7 copied Mac OS X. Surely, he had been misquoted. Or something. Well, Microsfot explains he didn’t mean it “that way”.
Microsoft is currently holding a partner conference in Wembley Stadium, and Microsoft’s partner group manager, Simon Aldous was asked “Is Windows 7 really a much more agile operating system, in terms of the Read further »
I love Windows 7 but I can’t give up by favorite Linux OSeither. So, I finally decided to do a Performance Benchmark Showdown to decide who gets to rule on my PC. Probably, everyone knows what’s new in both of them.
I’ve thought long and hard about usage comparison, Windows proves out to be higher on ease of use. On the other side I have years of Windows experience and a lot less with Ubuntu but I still can work with Read further »
